Loreal Mat Magique All In One Transforming Powder SPF 34 Review

12:30

Loreal Paris India has launched a new pressed powder for oily skinned girls! Its called the Mat Magique All In One Transforming Powder. Phew! Long name, huh?
I own this powder in the shade Nude Vanilla. Its the lightest of the six shades available in India. This powder has an SPF of 34, which is pretty much the highest SPF I've seen in a powder product so far.
As for the powder itself, its a very finely milled powder, so apply it with a light hand. It blends really well into my skin. I apply it with my Real Techniques Powder Brush. This powder sets my foundation/tinted moisturizer very well. It gives me a long lasting, matte finish. Oily skinned beauties will love this one. I can't say much about those with dry skin. The shades available here all have warm to neutral undertones, making them perfect for the Indian complexion.
This powder has titanium dioxide in it, so it might not perform well in flash photography. But for daytime and summers, the SPF 34 makes it a must have product.
Let me enumerate the pros and cons of this product.
Pros
Affordable (Rs 399)
High SPF
Matte finish (great for oily/combination skin)
Not cakey (as long as you apply with a brush)
Blends easily
Finely milled, gives a good coverage
Blurs pores and imperfections
Cons
Not ideal for flash photography
The sponge is useless.
Apply this powder with a brush and you'll be fine. Go at it with a sponge and you'll end up with a caked up base. All in all, this is a fantastic daytime setting powder that is really affordable. Yet another great product from Loreal!
(Pssst Loreal India people! Please launch the Lumi Magique Primer, Foundation and Concealer in India. PLEASE?)
