April is almost over now and I'm back with another monthly makeup edit!

Base: This month I've been loving a relatively matte base. I apply the Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation with my damp Real Techniques Sponge. For under eyes, I've been loving the Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Concealer. On blemishes I apply the Revlon Colorstay Concealer and I set the base with Kryolan Loose Powder.

Brows: Keeping the brow game strong I use my Sleek Brow Kit to fill in any gaps. I got this brow brush (with a spoolie at the other end) at my local beauty store for just Rs. 20!

Eyes and lips: Skipping eyeliner altogether, I just curl my lashes and apply two coats of the Benefit They're Real Mascara. On my lips, I'm still going matte with the Maybelline Lip Gradation in Mauve 1.

What makeup products have you been reaching for this April?

This month I've busted out my favorite Sleek Brow Kit in Extra Dark. I've been using it to fill in my brows and make them look fuller. Now I have been blessed with naturally full brows and I have been growing my brows for a few months now, but this brow kit from Sleek takes it to the next level for me.

I use a combination of the wax and powder, with a nifty little angled brush (which has a spoolie at the other end), that I got for Rs. 20 at my local beauty store! To set my brows, I just use some inexpensive clear brow gel to seal the deal.

I've been forgoing the liquid liner in favor of bold brows. What is your favorite brow product?

My hunt for the perfect daytime moisturizer came to an end with the Clean & Clear Oil Free Moisturizer. But on the way, I came across a few duds as well. One of them was the Neutrogena Oil Free Moisture SPF 15.

I have always had an amazing experience with Neutrogena products: I love their Oil Free Acne Wash and their Ultra Sheer Sunblocks.
But this one was a fail for me.

The packaging of the product is pretty good, I'll give them that. The moisturizer makes my skin greasy. Within an hour, I'm a shiny disco ball, whether I apply one pump of moisturizer or five. And that's not the only bad thing about this one. The SPF 15 moisturizer gives me a horrible white cast, no matter how much I rub the moisturizer into my skin. Rub, massage, pat, wait. It makes no difference. The grease and the white cast don't go away.

I've stopped using this moisturizer on my face, after two weeks of trying to make it work. I've given up. I'll just use it as a body lotion, maybe?

In the meantime, I'm going back to my Clean & Clear for day time.

A bath product that I've been loving this month is the Elizabeth Arden Mediterranean Bath and Shower Gel.

The glitter particles disappear upon lathering. I find that this gel cleans my skin thoroughly without stripping the natural moisture. I can skip body lotion in summer when I'm using this gel. The scent of this gel lingers on my skin for hours after my shower.

I really like this shower gel, especially in summers. If accessibility weren't and issue, I'd definitely repurchase.

One of the first brushes that caught my eye out of the Real Techniques Bold Metals Collection was the 301 Flat Contour Brush. I had wanted a flat contouring brush for so, so long and the rose gold exterior of the brush just sealed the deal for me.

According to Real Techniques, the Bold Metals brushes are made with the highest quality synthetic bristles. And it shows. The white bristles of this brush are very soft. The brush is quite dense, which allows me to pick up just the right amount of bronzer/contour powder. I use this brush with my Makeup Revolution Ultra Bronze to add some definition to my face. This brush really gets into the hollows of my cheekbones and helps blend the product really well.

Since these brushes are synthetic, they can be used with cream/liquid or powder products. I haven't used it with a cream bronzer yet.
This brush cleans very easily. I use baby shampoo.
This brush has a weighted, sturdy handle and the rose gold body makes it such a beautiful display piece at my dressing table! I'm head over heels in love with this brush and would recommend it to anyone who is interested in contouring. It will make your job so much easier!  

Since I decided to grow out my hair, I was looking for a deep conditioning treatment. The L'Oréal Hair Spa Repairing Creambath perfectly fit the bill. I use it as a hair mask/treatment.

It contains Shea butter, which moisturizes and softens my hair, reducing frizz. I apply the thick cream through the lengths of my freshly shampooed hair by sectioning it out. I concentrate especially on the ends of my hair. It is recommended to let it sit for 10-20 minutes, before washing off.

The condition of my hair has really improved since I started using this mask. Reduced frizz, reduced damage and increased softness are the changes I've noticed in my hair after regular use. I do this treatment once a week. And it has a beautiful scent that lingers in the hair hours after the treatment has been washed!

I will recommend the Hair Spa Creambath to anyone who is seeking to improve the condition of their hair.

I had always wanted to get into using facial oils and after reading numerous glowing reviews about The Body Shop Vitamin E Serum-In-Oil, I decided to try it.
It comes in a tiny 30ml glass bottle, which has a dropper to dispense the oil. The oil is clear in color and has the typical scent of The Body Shop Vitamin E range, which I love.

I apply this oil at night, layering it with a water based moisturizer, like Emolene. I put one drop each on my cheeks, nose, forehead and chin. This oil sinks in very quickly and locks in the moisture. It hasn't irritated or broken out my skin. My skin's condition has improved tremendously since using this oil! I use it every other night. It really helps my skin glow. 

L’Oréal Mythic Oil is something I have been using for a long time. Its an oil designed to help style hair and reduce frizz. I apply two pumps of the oil to my towel dried hair, before blow-drying.

This oil has helped minimize the damage to my hair, which is caused by using heat styling tools. The oil helps in reducing my hair drying time. It helps in taming the frizz in my hair and adds shine to my hair.

All in all, I LOVE this oil and have gone through three bottles of it so far. I will repurchase when I run out of this one!

The Body Shop is a huge favorite of mine. Especially when it comes to skin and hair products. I had been looking for a sulphate free shampoo for a while and I came across the Rainforest Shine Shampoo.

It contains no sulphates, no silicones, no parabens and no colorants. This shampoo has a very clean scent. It comes as a clear gel, which does not lather up, due to the absence of sulphates. This shampoo cleanses my hair gently, without stripping and imparts a shine to my hair.

This is a very gentle shampoo, very beneficial for dull and frizzy hair. I really like this shampoo. I'd like to recommend it to anyone who has damaged or colored hair. It has really helped improve the condition of my hair. I'd definitely repurchase.

Moisturizer is a must for healthy skin. An absolute MUST, for all skin types. Even an oily, combination skinned girl (like myself) needs moisturizer.

For daytime, I've been using the Clean & Clear Oil Free Moisturizer. It is super light, sinks into my skin easily and hydrates without being greasy. Also, it contains salicylic acid which helps keep breakouts at bay. Its been a huge favorite of mine.

For night time, post glycolic acid, I apply a thin layer of Emolene Cream first. Its light, serum like texture sinks into the skin immediately and hydrates it deeply. My favorite heavy duty water based moisturizer. Plus its fragrance free!
I follow up with another fragrance free  favorite of mine, Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion. It nourishes my skin and never breaks me out. I find it to be a staple in my skincare routine.

If my skin is feeling particularly dry or irritated, I turn to the Venusia Cream. It contains squalene, vitamin E and aloe vera which help calm and soothe my skin, leaving it fresh and glowing the next morning.

Under my eyes I always use a bit of Cetaphil Daily Advanced Ultra Hydrating Lotion. It contains Shea butter, is fragrance free and doesn't sting or irritate my eyes. Total love!
